As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
Comfortable in deep water and basic ability to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without use of hands for 2 minutes, etc.)
Preferred experience working with or teaching children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred, but not required
Must be 18 years of age or older
