Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Cheyenne Mountain Aquatics, you will lead swimming programs and deliver customized individual and group lessons for children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students with a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and a genuine talent for motivating young swimmers to develop a passion and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Swim Instructor to join our team and contribute to our Cheyenne Mountain Aquatics in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, ideally in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and familiarity with various swim strokes and techniques
• Comprehensive understanding of water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Exceptional communication, organization, time management and creative teaching abilities
• Effective behavior management skills, capable of handling challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Background in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, showcasing proficiency in working with children in a structured environment!
• A genuine love and enthusiasm for swimming and children!
