IES Abroad Berlin Urban Studies & Social Sciences

The English-taught IES Abroad Berlin Metropolitan Studies Program examines issues relevant to major cities today by using Berlin as a case study. Students study relevant topics such as architecture, cultural identity, gender and sexual politics, multiculturalism, popular culture, and urban studies.

They explore Berlin's many neighborhoods and architecture as they learn about metropolitan development and urban planning. Whenever possible, IES courses take advantage of the city's many historical, artistic, and cultural sites.

Berlin keeps reinventing itself. Today, it is a vibrant hub for the arts, sciences, and alternative lifestyles. It is also a testing ground for eco-friendly mobility, urban planning, and sustainable architecture. Immerse yourself in an exciting atmosphere while studying abroad.
