APA Multi-Country: France, Morocco, Senegal
The French-speaking world is a dynamic melting pot of language, history, and culture. Visit three prominent Francophone host cities in one semesterParis, France; Rabat, Morocco; and Dakar, Senegalfor an interdisciplinary and reflective approach to study abroad.
Students all take one common course: "Introduction to France, Morocco and Senegal: Three Worlds, One Language". This course presents the historical, geographical, socio-economic, and cultural context of each country. Students choose the remaining three courses from the available course selection in language, literature, history, political science, gender studies, art history, economics, and more. Taught by local French professors, all courses extend beyond the classroom with guest speakers, site visits, and immersive cultural experiences. Individual language support is organized each week.
Take advantage of each host city's culture by participating in various thoughtfully planned cultural activities and excursions included in the program. Students earn 16 U.S. credits, complete capstone research, and live with three host families, tripling cultural insights and French exposure.
