Middlebury School in Spain

Designed for students with advanced Spanish proficiency, the Middlebury School in Spain program structure enables you to perfect your language skills through guided language immersion and facilitated social and cultural integration. Through coursework, extracurricular activities, internships, or volunteer work, you are expected to "live the language" in either Crdoba or Madrid.

The modern city of Crdoba blends centuries of cross-cultural history and is home to the Mezquita-Catedral, the most important example of European Islamic architecture. Madrid is a vibrant city of more than three million residents. As the capital of Spain, it is a significant political, economic, and cultural center, and home to several museums and theaters.

In Crdoba, you take courses at the Universidad de Crdoba, choosing from different academic departments with particular strengths in Art History, Psychology, History, Religion, Biology, and Philology.

In Madrid, you take up to two courses at the Universidad Autnoma de Madrid or up to three at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. The Sede Prim, the headquarters in Spain and run by Middlebury College, houses the undergraduate and graduate programs.
